Pssst! Wanna buy a slightly used city hall?

Real estate agents describe it as an "irreplaceable opportunity" for downtown Dartmouth.

City officials have put the former Dartmouth City Hall building up for sale. The building at 90 Alderney Drive has been a city hall or a school board office for close to 50 years. It now stands empty and the city is in a selling mood.

Its on the market for $2.6 million dollars.

The property boasts location, location, location right next to the ferry terminal with an unobstructed view of Halifax Harbour.

And the current green space next door is safe from development. The city says it'll ensure there'll be no construction.

Money from the sale of the property will be used to help create a new municipal museum along the Dartmouth waterfront.
