Police locate driver of tractor-trailer involved in collision that killed 17-year-old

Police saya motorcycle was going northboundon Dunbrack Street in Halifax when it struck the rear of a blue-grey tractor-trailer around 4:30 p.m. Monday. Police are searching for the driver of the truck.

Police say the driver did not stop after the collision

On Thursday, police said in a news release they had obtained video from the incident and released a photo of the vehicle believed to be involved. It's described as blue-grey, with a sleepover cab and grill protector and was towing an empty tri-axle container chassis. (Halifax Regional Police)

Halifax police say they have located the truck and driver involved in the collision Monday afternoon that killed a 17-year-oldmotorcyclist.

Police saidthe motorcycle was going northboundon Dunbrack Street when it struck the rear of a tractor-trailer.

In a newsrelease Wednesday, police said the motorcyclist died from his injuries after being taken to hospital.

The truckwascrossing the northbound lanes after turning left off Highway 102ataround 4:30 p.m. AT Monday, police say.

Police say the tractor-trailer did not stopafter impact andcontinued southon Dunbrack Street.
