Joint Task Force Atlantic crews rescue boaters near Halifax

Three people wererescued from a boat taking on water near Halifax today, the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre says.

Crews responded to the vessel, which was located 20 kilometres east of the city.

The passengers boarded the CCGS Sambro, whichthen transported them to an ambulance in Eastern Passage.

The condition of the passengers is unknown.
