Man suffers life-threatening injuries in Sunday night shooting, Halifax police say

Officers temporarily closed parts of Gottingen Streetand UniackeStreet, but all roads have since reopened.

Police say a man suffered life-threatening injuries in a shooting in centralHalifax on Sunday night.

Halifax Regional Police officers were called tothe 2400 block of Gottingen Street at approximately 7:30 p.m., according to a news release.

They found a man who had been shot. He was transportedto hospital with what are believed to be life-threatening injuries, the release said.

The 2400 block is located between Charles and Buddy Daye streets.

Officers temporarily closed parts of Gottingen Streetand UniackeStreet, but all roads have since reopened.

Police are looking for a suspect, but offered no details or description.
