Woman falls off embankment at Duncans Cove trail

A woman was rescued after fallingoveran embankment onatrail nearDuncans Cove Road and Gannet Lane in Duncans Cove, N.S. about a half hour drive outside Halifax.

Emergency crews were called to the scene at 2:57p.m. Sunday.

Two hikers were able to direct emergency crews to the woman who fell on to some rocks near the water.

Fire officials say the woman was able to make it outon her own. They say her injuries were minor andthatshe banged her knee.
