Doreze Marvin Beals, accused of human trafficking, gets bail

A North Preston man, accused of human trafficking and facingcharges of gang sexual assault, kidnapping and other offences, has been released on strict bail conditions.

Doreze Marvin Beals, 18, was chargedafter a 15-year-old girl said she was held in a Nova Scotiabasement for two days and sexually assaulted last April.

Beals must remain under house arrestwith his great aunt and uncle. Relativesmust also escort him to and from medical and legal appointments.

He has spent eightmonths in custodyat the Burnside Correctional Facility.
