Dirt bike rider dies after 2-vehicle crash in Church Point

A man is dead and police are investigating following a crash between a dirt bike and a truck in Church Point, N.S., on the weekend.

A man is dead and police are investigating following a weekend crash in Church Point, N.S.

Police, fire and EHS responded to a two-vehicle crash on Patrice Roadjust after midnight on Saturday, according to an RCMP news release.

Upon arrival, officers learned a dirt bike collided with a truck exiting a side road.

Police said a bystander provided CPR to the rider of the dirt bike until emergency services arrived. The rider, a 25-year-old man from Belliveaus Cove, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the truck, a 17-year-old, and the passenger, a 21-year-old man, suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to RCMP. The pair from Church Point were transported to hospital.
