Halifax police investigating armed robbery at Bedford bank

Halifax Regional Police are investigating after three masked men robbed a Bank of Montreal in Bedford, N.S., Thursday afternoon.

Police say the clerk was struck in the head with a gun by one of the masked suspects

Halifax Regional Police are investigating after three masked men robbed a Bank of Montreal in Bedford, N.S.,Thursday afternoon.

Just after 4 p.m., police say three suspects, one armed with a handgun, entered the BMO on Nine Mile Drive and demanded money.

Police say during the robberythe armed suspect struck the clerk in the head with the gun.

The men fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money in a grey Mazda 3.

Police say they were last seen heading towards Halifax on Hwy 102.

Later Thursday evening, police arrested a 31-year-old man in connection with the robbery. The two othersare still on the run.

The clerk was treated by paramedics at the scene, but was not sent to hospital.
