Here's a look at what's happening around Yukon this weekend:

Queer film fest

What: The fifthannual OUTNorth film festival is on this weekend, presented by the Yukon Queer Film Alliance.You can see six feature films over three nights, including the Oscar-winning film The Danish Girl and the Oscar-nominated film, Carol. There are two different films showing each night.

Jazz CD release

What: The Winter Trio is holding a CD release concertFridaynight. The trio features Daniel Janke on piano, Paul Bergman on bass and Ken Searcy on drums. They draw their music from both American and European jazz traditions as well as more modern approaches.

Opening the Doors on poetry

What: In celebration of National Poetry Month,Well-Read Bookspresents: An Evening with The Doorknobs A Tribute to The Doors.Fridayfeatures opening acts, local poetsLily Gontard and Maggie Larocque.Saturday, there'll be KJ Munro and Jamella Hagen. The Doorknobs feature local musiciansDavid Sutton, Mike Trainor, Mike Smith, Mike Millar and Janelle Langlais.
When: Both shows start at7 p.m., Friday and Saturday.

Shake it All Night Long

What: Thunderstruck, anAC/DC tribute band from Vancouver, will be in Whitehorse this weekend. Car Ramrod, a local band featuring Mike Barr, Marcus Steiner, Adam Cripps and Daniel Vigneau, will be the opening act.

Home Routes tour

What: David Stoddard is playing house concerts across the territory. He's a songwriter and teacher who hails from western Minnesota.
