No one hurt after shots fired into Pangnirtung, Nunavut, home filled with people, RCMP say

Police found three holes in a living room window and damage to the ceiling after responding to a report of shots fired early Sunday morning. Children were inside at the time.

No one was hurt after shots were firedinto a home in Pangnirtung, Nunavut, while residents, including children,were inside.

It happened around 12:15 on Sunday morning,according toRCMP.

Police found three holes in a living room window and damage to the ceiling inside when they responded to a call.

Three men, ages 19, 20 and 23, are facing chargesrelated to recklessly discharging firearms, attempted robbery and using a firearm while committing an offence. One faces another charge for breaching probation.

Police say it's fortunate nobody was seriously hurt.

"The discharge of afirearm in a careless manner can have disastrous consequencesespecially when it involves a dwelling house with occupants inside," the press release reads.

All three men are being held on remand until their next court appearance on May 2.
