Igloolik RCMP arrest man after standoff

Nunavut RCMP say a standoff in Igloolik Friday evening ended with the arrest of an 18-year-old man.

Police said the teenager barricaded himself in a house with a firearm, and that there were reports of shots.

No one was injured. People in the community told CBC News they were warned to stay inside during the incident.

It's believed alcohol was involved.

Police seized firearms at the scene and are investigating.
