#TBT: 1986 Labrador Winter Games

With this year's Labrador Winter Games well underway, it seemed fitting to look back atthe game's opening ceremonies from 1986.

The sporting event began in 1983 and is held every three years showcasing and celebrating Labrador's unique cultural diversity.

With no set age, hundreds of athletescompete in a series of traditional and modern events, including traditional Inuit games, snowshoeing, target shooting, and theLabrathon, an event that tests a competitor's ability to live off the land.

The games run until Saturday.
