It's a trip of a lifetime for 14 Innu students from Labrador.

The 2016 graduating class at Sheshatshiu Innu School is spending a week in Orlando, Florida a trip they raised money for all year.

"Overall it's going to be awesome," said student Sam Rich as he prepared to board his flight in Happy Valley-Goose Bay earlier this week.

"I'm just excited to go. I just can't wait to go there."

Rich and his classmates raised close to $50,000 to pay for the trip.

"We started back in October, November, right up to last week. It took most of the year. We even had parents volunteering, other community members volunteering. Everybody in the community was helping us out," said studentMishkushishPinette.

"We all wanted to do this since we started high school and I'm, like, really grateful that we have this opportunity."

The students held bingo games and bake sales and applied the lessons learned in their Level 3 Entrepreneurship course.

"Our teacher showed us," said Rich. "You got to spend money to raise money. You got to give a little to get much more."

The class will spend a week in Orlando, with Walt Disney World being the main attraction.

"A once in a lifetime opportunity," said Pinette, all the more special because the friends are going together and they had to work hard to make it happen.

"I don't want to be conceited, but I'm pretty proud of myself," said Pinette."It makes you feel good about yourself....Anything is possible when you have people in your life helping you out."
