The Children's Wish Foundation of Newfoundland and Labrador held its first-ever Princess Tea Party with Heroes in St. John's on Saturday.

Children were encouraged to dress up as their favouriteprincess or superhero, and spentthe afternoon in an enchanted castle with their favourite Disney princesses and comic book stars.

Singing, dancing and superhero training were just some of the activities offered tokids, while parents and caregivers could indulge in amassage.

All proceeds from ticket sales wenttowards granting a wish for a seriously ill child in the province something six-year-old Nevaeh Denineof the Gouldsin St. John'sknows a lot about.

"Well, my children's wish was that I wanted to go to Disney and it was really fun," Deninesaid.

At age three, Deninewas diagnosed with a rare form of cancercalled neuroblastoma.

She said her wish was tovisit Cinderella'scastleat Disney World in Florida something she and her family got to do last month.
