Police say they are continuing to investigate what happened to a St. John's area woman who went missing in mid-July.

Police said Friday that they are continuing to investigate what happened to a St. John's area woman who went missing in mid-July.

Ann Marie Shirran, 32, of the Kilbride area of the city, has been missing since July 18.

The ground search was suspended last week, but Royal Newfoundland Constabulary Sgt. Jason Shepperd said Friday that police haven't given up.

"The investigators are following all possible leads that we have. There was some reported sightings in Corner Brook, and what we've done is we've had the team in Corner Brook look at those situations," said Sheppard. "We're waiting for some video to come from some stores where she was supposedly seen. We'll have a look at the video and see if it's her or not."

Shirran was formerly known as Ann Marie Baggs.

Police said she is approximatelysix feettall, weighs about 170 pounds and has shoulder-length brown hair and blue eyes. Police said she was last seen wearing black capri pants, a white sleeveless top and flip-flops.
