Phone scam warning issued by Grand Falls-Windsor RCMP

The RCMP in Grand Falls-Windsor have warned the public of an ongoing phone scam.

People have reportedreceiving phone calls, during whichthe caller states they're a representative of the CanadaRevenue Agency.

The caller then says the person on the other end of the line owes money in back taxes, and asks for credit card informationor for cash to be forwarded in the mail.

Police said the CRA does not conduct business in this manner.

They are reminding the public not to give out any personal or financial information over the phone.
