2 motorcyclists dead following afternoon crashes near Glovertown, Holyrood

Two men are dead following two separate single-motorcyclecollisions in Newfoundland and Labradoron Thursday afternoon.

Officials from the Glovertown Royal Canadian Mounted Police said the first crash left a 64-year-old man dead and occurred atabout 3 p.m. on Route 310, near the causeway on the EastportPeninsula.

Meanwhile,HolyroodandFerrylandRCMPsaid asecond accident killed a 53-year-old manat about 3:30 p.m. on the Trans-Canada Highway just west of theHolyroodAccess Line.

Police said investigations into both incidentsare ongoing.
