Hibernia reports two safety incidents on oil platform

Two accidentshappened on Saturday on the Hibernia oil platform on the Grand Banks.

The Hibernia Management Development Corporationinformed the safety regulatorthat a small piece of custom fitted insulation blanketcaught fire near a generator. The generatorwas shut down andthe fire put outwith a portableextinguisher.

In the other incident, two pieces of steel grating fell 4.6 metres and landed on a deck.

Noone was injured in either incident.
