Airstream travel trailers are known for their iconic style and aluminum build, which attract people all over the world. Those who are part of the Airstream Club often come together for long-term camping excursions, and one caravan recently completed a trip across Newfoundland. The CBC's Alex Kennedy stopped by their campground during a pit stop.

If you know anything about campers, there's a good chance you know about Airstream. It's a highly sought-after brand, known around the world for its iconic form and aluminum build.

It's part of what attracts Kevin Garrett of Florida to them. He, along with 19 other Airstream owners, recently completed a camping circuit around Newfoundland over the last six weeks.

"They've been making them for 90 years [and] they haven't changed all that much. It's a very simple, sleek, well-made brand," Garrett told CBC News.

"I just like the freedom of being able to travel with a travel trailer. Just to pick up and go. My wife and I are on the road for 10 months this year.... We love spending summers in Canada."

The travel groups, which are part of the Airstream Club, bring people from all walks of life together. The club hasbrought Garrett all over North America.

It also brought Janet and Steven Nentwig of Paris, Ont., to Newfoundland for the first time.

"Two months isn't long enough. Like [it] to be longer," Steven said with a laugh.
