2 men arrested with murder suspect Tyler Noel back in court

Zachary Holden, 18, and Bradley John Bonnell, 20, appeared in Moncton provincial court Thursday morning, but the defence requested more time and both menwill appear in court again later in March.

The two men were arrested Jan. 9 near Petitcodiac,along with TylerNoel, who was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant forfirst-degree murder and arson in connection with the death of 18-year-old BayleeWylie.

Wylie's body was discoveredin a residence on Sumac Street inMonctonby firefightersonDec. 18after extinguishing an early morning fire atthe residence.

RCMP have described the death of Wylie as "extremely violent."

Holdenischarged with possessing a stolen firearm, assisting fugitive Tyler Noel,being unlawfully in a dwelling house, and flight from police and dangerous driving.

Bonnellis charged with being an accessory to murder after the fact,in connection with the death of Wylie, by assisting Noel to escape and being unlawfully in a dwelling house.

Defence requests 2 week adjournment

On the day the three men were arrested,RCMP were called to a break-in at a cottage in Elgin which led police toPetitcodiac where Noel, Holden and Bonnellwere apprehended.

On Thursday morning, both Holden and Bonnell appeared in Moncton provincial court.

The defence lawyer representing Bonnelltold the courttwo more weeks were needed to review the disclosure received from the Crown.

Both Bonnell and Holdenremain in custody andare scheduled to be back in court at 9:30 a.m. onMarch17.

On March1, theRCMP arrested Marissa Shephard, 20, who had been sought on a Canada-wide warrant for first-degree murder and arson in connection with the death of Wylie.

The third suspect in the murder of Wylie, DevinMorningstar, 18, of Moncton, has also been charged with first-degree murder and arson. He's due back in court March7 to set a trial date.

Noel has a court hearing set for March10 to confirm the date for his preliminary inquiry.
