Get out your raincoats and galoshes as it is going to be a wet and windy Friday in New Brunswick.

There are rainfall warnings in effect for Fundy National Park and Saint John and County.

The system bringing the wet weather will move out of the area overnight says CBC meteorologist Peter Coade.

And Saturday is expected to be a sunny day with highs between 6 C and 8 C, except near 2 C in the north west.

"Then late Saturday evening another area of low pressure will move in from the south to cross Cape Breton Saturday night," he said.

"This feature will bring more rain to some communities, but more than likely some snow to Prince Edward Island, southeastern New Brunswick."

But Coade said that should be the last in a series of disturbances that have affected the region and next week should start with some fair weather and warmer than normal temperatures,
