Canada-wide warrant issued for Moncton pair wanted for murder

RCMP in New Brunswick have issued a Canada-wide warrant for a man and a woman charged with first-degree murder in the death of an 18-year-old Moncton man.

RCMP in New Brunswick have issued a Canada-wide warrant for a man and a woman charged with first-degree murder in the death of an 18-year-old Moncton man.

Baylee Wylie's body was discovered in the aftermath of an early morning house fire on Dec. 17in Moncton. Police quickly decided foul play had been involved.

Since then, police have been looking for MarissaShephard, 20, and Tyler Noel, 18, both ofMoncton.

"The murder ofBayleeWyliewas extremely violent, so these two subjects should be considered dangerous and not be approached," said Sgt.AndrPepinof theCodiacRCMP

On Dec. 24, the pairwere charged with first-degree murder and arson, and a provincialwarrant was issued. However, police are unsure whether they have stayed in the area, resulting in the decision to get a Canada-wide warrant.

"At this point, it is unknown if Shephard and Noel are together, or if they are in New Brunswickor outside the province," Pepin said."The RCMP is going to go and get them if they are somewhere else other than New Brunswick."

Pepin is also warningagainst anyone helping the two avoid capture.

"Anyone who is helping them to evade police can be charged with accessory after the fact to commit first-degree murder,"Pepin said.

Police have arrested and charged a third person in connection with Wylie`s death.

On Dec. 21, Devin Morningstar, 18, was charged with first-degree-murder and arson. He is being held in custody, and his lawyer has requested a psychological evaluation.

Morningstar's next courtappearance isscheduled for Jan. 8.
