RCMP probe suspicious death of Elsipogtog woman

A 22-year-old woman from the Elsipogtog First Nation, who was reported missing on Sunday, has been found dead in an apartment in Salisbury.

A 22-year-old woman from the Elsipogtog First Nation, who was reported missing on Sunday, has been found dead in an apartment in Salisbury.

Sabrina Polchies was found dead by a tenant from the apartment building at 6:55 p.m. on July 5.

The RCMP has called the death "suspicious."

The Caledonia RCMP and forensic identification members are still at the scene investigating the death.

An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday to determine the cause of death.

Polchies was reported missing to police by a family member on July 4.

The police were interviewing known acquaintances of Polchies and determining her recent activities.

The RCMP are asking the public for any information that could help with the investigation.
