The lead Saint John policeinvestigator will return to the stand in Dennis Oland's second-degree murder trial to face continued cross-examination on Tuesday.

Const. Stephen Davidson's cross-examination was postponed on Monday when the court heard from Grant Fredericks, a forensic video analyst.

Frederickstestified thathe could notsay definitively whether the brown sports jacket Dennis Olandisseen wearing in a security video on the day police believe his father, Richard Oland, was killed, is thesame jacketseized from the accused's home.

Dennis Oland, 47, who was the last known person to see his father alive during a meeting at his office the night before, has pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder.

The defence was cross-examiningDavidson's testimony on Friday afternoon when the trial adjourned for the weekend.
