Keith Mullins computer, songs stolen during Harvest fest

A career's worth of songs by East Coast Music Award-winning artist Keith Mullins were stolen during a weekend appearance at the Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival in Fredericton.

The Cape Breton world music performer had his laptop taken while he was onstage performing with blues musician Charlie A'CourtFriday night.

Mullins' backpack was taken from the back stage area of the blues tent at the festival. It held his MacBook Pro, containing complete master recordings of songs and albums, demo recordings, partial songs, suggested titles and work for his next project, over 100 songsin total.

Also included on the computer were two albums of recordings done with school children that served as a fundraising projects in Nova Scotia and northern Alberta. The latter received an East Coast Music Award in 2012 for Children's Recording OfThe Year.

Mullins describes the backpack as a black Columbia bag. He's placed an ad on Kijiji asking for its return with no questions asked, for a cash reward.

Also included in the backpack was a back-up hard drive for the computer. Mullins has asked that if found, the backpack be dropped off at the Harvest Jazz and Blues office on Regent St. in Fredericton.
