Dorchester still struggling with flood aftermath

Residents in parts of New Brunswick are still dealing with flood waters caused by warm January weather.

The Memramcook River and its tributaries overflowed last week closing the road in and out of Upper Dorchester.

The waters are receding, but Tara Veach said she's not sure if the school bus will come on Monday for her children,

There are about 11 families here that are affected. There are 54 kids at the school, so I'm guessing about 10 per cent of the kids are affected by the flood and the bus, she said.

Veach said the road to the south of her home is still flooded.

To reach the Village of Dorchester they have to drive north in a loop that takes 45 minutes.

She called the ordeal an expensive inconvenience.
