The second-degree murder trial of Dennis Oland continues Wednesdaymorning in Saint John.

Retired Saint John Police Officer Mike King will be back on the stand after the court learned Tuesday that Deputy ChiefGlen McCloskey, who was an inspector at the time, toldKinghe didn't "have to" tell anyone that McCloskeywent into the bloody office to observe the body.

King said hisconversation withMcCloskeyoccurred either before or duringOland'spreliminary inquiry last year about three years after Oland was killed.

DennisOland, 47, who was the last known person to see his father alive during a meeting at his office at 52 Canterbury St.,the night before, has pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder.
