Boil water order issued for Saint John's east side

A water main break on Champlain Drive on Thursday has caused a boil order for residents in the Champlain Heights and McAllister Industrial Park area of Saint John.

Water main break on Champlain Drive is to blame for the boil water order

A boil water order has been issued on the east side of Saint John as a result of a water main break on Champlain Drive

The Department of Health is advisinghomes and businesses to not drink the water, unless it has been boiled for one minute at a rolling boil.

It is safe for dishwashers and showers.

The McAllister Industrial Park, all of Champlain Heights, parts of Bayside Drive, Grandview Avenue and a number of nearby streets are affected.

These are the areas affected by the boil order:

  • Cottage Road, Civic numbers1 - 138 Bayside Drive, Civic numbers1142 - 1385
  • Grandview Avenue, Civic numbers438 1223
  • All of Champlain Heights Area
  • Old Black River Road, Civic numbers 777 - 916
  • Berryman Street
  • Helena Street
  • Miranda Way
  • Bernice Court
  • All of McAllister Industrial Park
  • 2 Crownwell Drive
