Riba Girouard-Riordon to run in Acadie-Bathurst

The Conservative party has a new candidate in the riding of Acadie-Bathurst. Riba Girouard-Riordon will run in the October federal election.

Riba Girouard-Riordon replaces Conservative candidate Louis Robichaud who left the race for personal reasons

The Conservative party has a new candidate in the riding of Acadie-Bathurst.

Riba Girouard-Riordon will run in the October federal election.

Theoriginal candidate, Louis Robichaud, announced last week he was withdrawing from the race for "personal reasons."

Girouard-Riordon is also the secretary for the local riding association. She is a retired teacher from Pokeshaw and a first-time candidate.

Girouard-Riordon joins three other candidates in the race: the NDP's Jason Godin, Liberal Serge Cormierand Dominique Breau ofthe Green Party.

The riding was formerly held by NDP MP Yvon Godin, who decided not to run again.

The candidates will be at a meet and greet onWednesday hosted by the Bathurst Chamber of Commerce.
