Man, 82, charged in death of 90-year-old wife in Vaudreuil seniors residence

An 82-year-old man has been charged with second-degree murder, afterhis 90-year-old wife was found dead in a seniors' residencein Vaudreuil-Dorion Wednesday.

According to the Sret du Qubec(SQ), police were calledat 1 p.m. Wednesdayto check the residence,located on de la Gare Boulevard.

Officers entered the apartment where the couple lived together and discovered the woman dead in the home.

The 82-year-oldman was injured when police found him atthe scene. Authorities believe there was a struggle and saythe accused may have tried to take his own life.
