Montreal's public transit corporation and theQuebec-based company NovaBus are still tryingto determine what caused Wednesday's bus fire in Dorval.

An STMbus on the 204 line caught fire before noon yesterdayon the corner of Neptune Boulevard and Parkfield Avenue.

No one was injured, and firefighters managed to put out the fire, but itwas the second bus fire in three months involving a NovaBus.

Anne-Louise Chauvette, a spokesperson for the company, said the company is helping with the investigation.

"Security is a priority for us, for NovaBus, so for sure we will collaborate with the STM to identify the problems," she said.

Chauvette said NovaBusissued a recall on two models of buses last year, one of which was involved in another bus fire in April on the Ville-Marie expressway.

In that case, theSTM saida faulty alternatorwas responsible.

But Chauvette says NovaBus isn't to blame. She saidthe STM was in charge of repairing the recalled alternator.

The STM did not agree to an interview request from CBC.
