Montreal police are searching for a suspect after someone tried to rob an armoured car.

Montreal police are searching for a suspectafter someone tried to rob an armoured car inL'le-Bizard-Sainte-Genevive.

A man with a firearm approached two armoured car employees as they were transporting moneyin theparking lotof the Laurentian Bank on Jacques-BizardBoulevard.

Montreal policeConst.Jean-Pierre Brabantsaid one of the Gardaemployees shot at the suspect.

Brabant said the suspect fled the scene, drivingwestbound on CherrierStreet.

In the end, no money was stolen, but the two agents were treated for shock.

Police are still searching for the suspect.

Officers are using sniffer dogs to search the area and have set up a roadblock on the Jacques-Bizardbridge leading offle Bizard.
