Man found dead inside car buried by snow in Rosemont

Police did not confirm whether they believe the death to be related to Tuesday night's storm, however, several other bodies have been found inside buried cars over the last 48 hours.

No signs of violence found, but police believe man might have suffered heart attack

Montreal police found a dead man inside a car buried in the snow in the Rosemont neighbourhood on Thursday night. (CBC)

A man in his 60s was found dead inside of asnow-covered car on Thursday evening.

Montreal police were called to the corner of St-Michel Boulevard and Holt Street in the Rosemont neighbourhoodat 3:10 p.m. aftera report of an inanimate person in a vehicle.

"When police got on scene, they indeed found a car that was buried in snow," said Montreal police Const.Daniel Lacoursire.

Officers dug out the car and broke a window to get to the man inside, but he was declared dead on the scene by Urgences-Sant. He had no traces of violence on his body.

Lacousire said police believe the man suffered some sort of illness, perhaps a heart attack, while inside the vehicle.

The case has been transferred to the coroner's office for further investigation.
