Donate to the Townshippers Foundation

TownshippersResearch & Cultural Foundation (TRCF), is a small community foundation that provides funding grants to small volunteer groups and organizations working in health and social services, arts and heritage, youth, education and research.

CBC Quebec's charity of the year has been working in the historic Eastern Townships since 1986

The Townshippers Foundation has been selected as CBCQuebec'scharitythis holiday season.

Throughout December, CBCQuebec will collaborate with the foundation to showcase stories of people in our communitywho are making a difference.

About the Townshippers Foundation

TownshippersResearch & Cultural Foundation (TRCF), is a small community foundation working in the historic Eastern Townships since 1986.For over30 years,TownshippersFoundation has helped fund grassroots projects that enhance thecommunity. Funds raised go towardthree main areas of impact. They are:

Themobile 'library kiosque' recently introduced at the LennoxvilleLibrary. (Townshippers Foundation)
  • Community care initiatives: Initiatives that uplift the health, social servicesand elders in our community such as the Lennoxville & District Women's Centre and the co-op gym Sant Sutton.
  • Belonging and culture initiatives:Organizations and programs whose work bridges generations and unites the community around cultural development, the arts and heritage. These include the Festival de Jazz de Suttonand the Knowlton Literary Festival, the sole English-language literary festival between Montreal and Quebec City.
  • Empowerment and success initiatives:Townshippers Foundation is committed to empowering community members by providing grants for projects and activities that enhance our community through education, research, and youth.Initiatives include Phelps Helps, which was founded to combat the high drop-out rates in the Stanstead area of Quebec and themobile "library kiosque" recently introduced at the LennoxvilleLibrary.

During the month of December, CBCQuebec will be working with Townshippers Foundation to showcase stories of people in our community who are making a difference for our "Make the Season Kind" campaign. Every year, CBC selects two organizationsfor our Charity Drive one serving the greater Montreal area and one serving a community anywhere in Quebec (outside of Montreal). This year, our Montreal-baed charity is Montreal City Mission.Click here to learn more about what they do.
