CBC Do Crew gives Abili-T centre 'new lease on life'

CBC Montreal Do Crew had a great day at the Abili-T kids' day centre on Saturday. Volunteers scrubbed all the toys, sanded and washed the walls before painting. The centre's director said the Do Crew gave the place a new lease on life.

The CBC Do Crew was busy scrubbing toys and painting doors and walls at the Gold Centre on Saturday.

The result is described by Nathalie Garcin, the Gold Centre's director, as "a new lease on life" for the day centre that serves kids with autism.

Our volunteers worked with a group of the program's staff to scrub the toys, chairs, mats and walls. Another group worked to tape and paint the walls and doors of the classroom and gym. It took a team of 15 working all out for over five hours to get the job done. When it was all over, many of the volunteers said the same thing "that was so much fun."
