2 women killed in Lanaudire collision

Two women from Laval were killed Saturday in an accidentin Saint-Roch-de-l'Achigan in theLanaudire region.

The women, both in their 50s,were heading north on Highway 25, according to theSret du Qubec. Foran unknown reason, the carveered off course,turned around, and continuedin reverse on the southbound lane.

It then collided with another vehicle carrying a 62-year-old woman. She was seriously injured, but doctors don't fear for her life, police said.

Police closed the outbound lane of Highway 25 while investigating the scene.
