Woman dead after head-on crash near Stonewall

A woman driving a pickup truck died in a crash Tuesday evening near Stonewall, Man., say RCMP.

She was involved in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 7, about threekilometres north of Highway 67.

Police say she was travelling north when her pickup truck veered into the southbound lane and collided headon with a semi-trailer.

The driver was pronounced dead on the scene while a male passenger in the truck was taken to hospital with "unknown injuries" said an RCMP news release.

The driver of the semi-trailer did not sustain any injuries.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
