Wet snow covers Winnipeg windshields Friday morning

Just when you thought it was safe to put your windshield scraper away: Winnipeggers woke up to wet, snowy conditions Friday morning.

Just when you thought it was safe to put your windshield scrapers away...

"We are at that 'anything can happen' time of year," CBC Manitoba meteorologist John Sauder says.

After reaching about 9 C in downtown Winnipeg Thursday,Winnipeggers woke up to wet, snowy conditions this morning.

That snow should move out of the province through the morning, but don't expect anything like 9 C in Winnipeg Friday.

Winnipeg weather:

  • Wet snow in the morning, ending before noon
  • Conditions clearing into the afternoon
  • High of2 C
  • North morning winds gusting 30 to 50 km/h
  • Winds decreasing slightly into the afternoon
  • Overnight low of10 C

A mix of sun and cloud and a high of1 C are expected Saturday.
