Winnipeg high school honours sacrifices of Canada's soldiers

Students at Tec Voc High School gathered for an early Remembrance Day ceremony Monday.

The ceremony included music, poetry, video and dance as a way to recognize the sacrifices of Canadas soldiers.

Sofia Constantini, who teaches dance at the school, said she wanted to find a way to connect to the students.

"Numbers don't necessarily mean anything to the kids, it's what actually happened and how we relate to it and what it means to us in our world today," said Constantini.

Constantini said shehoped to reach students to help them better understand the challenges and sacrifices of past generations.
