Cyclist, 87, dies in collision on Hamilton Avenue in Winnipeg

An 87-year-old cyclist has died in a collision with a vehicle on Hamilton Avenue in west Winnipeg, police said.

The crashhappened shortly before3 p.m. Friday. According to police theman, was travelling in the same direction as the vehicle, which had a boom lift attached to it.

The driver was shaken up and stayed on the scene after the crash, police said.

The incident shut down Hamilton Avenue between Vimy Road and Valley View Drive.

Just before 9 p.m., police were seen preparing to clear the area.
