VIDEO | Winnipeg's balmy winter weather

It hasn't been so wintry in "Winter-peg" so far this season, with temperatures peaking above 0 C at times this week.

Normal temperatures for this time of year arearound 13 C during the day and 23 C at night, according to Environment Canada. But forecasters are predicting a balmy daytime high of 7 C in Winnipeg on Thursday.

Theold record for Jan. 5 is4.3 C, set in1984.

While many in the city are enjoying the milder weather, it has presented major challenges to some businesses, the CBC's Gosia Sawicka reports.
