Additional tickets for the Tragically Hip concertin Winnipeg sold out in minutes on Tuesday.

Due to overwhelming demand the band adjusted the stage design to accommodate more seating when the groupperformsits farewell tour in Winnipeg on August 5.

An extra block of tickets for the show at the MTS Centrewent on sale throughTicketmaster at 10 a.m. but shortly after theticketswere sold out.

More seats were added after asoverwhelming demandfor the band'sMan Machine Poemtour whenlead singer Gord Downieannounced last monthhehas terminal cancer.

Many fans hoping to see to that farewell tour weredisappointed and frustrated after thetickets soldout quickly and then appearing minutes later at a massive markup on resale sites.

There was a two ticket limit per person when tickets went on sale again on Tuesday.
