Surveillance video captures robbery of Winnipeg jewelry store

A jewelry store robbery inWinnipeg was captured on surveillance video.

It happened Saturday just after 1 p.m. at Golden Hand Jewellery on Main Street, near Selkirk Avenue.

A man can be seen leaning across a counter and reaching into a display case while the store employee is distracted with a female customer.

The owner of the store,Paul Szurlej, said two rings worth a total of$10,000 were taken.

He said thetwo customers were not together anddo not know each other.

Szurlej is offeringa$1,000cash reward for the return of the rings no questions asked.
