Squirrel Stole My Underpants is very likely to steal your heart. To start, in my experience, six-year-olds are easily won over by the title. Then, themoment dancer and puppeteer Bonnie Duncan steps on stage, the audience is captivated by her baskets of laundry and the wonders they hold.

This wordless show is like a silent movie starring Raggedy Ann. Duncanand her puppets convey a huge range of emotion with the tiniest gestures. Using simple yet ingenious props, Duncan plays out the pursuit of the thieving squirrel through one colourful vignette after another.

Pink underpants, brown squirrel, yellow balloon, they're all brought to life. Each new scene is like a fresh page in a picture book. There are so manyvisual delights you won't want to blink, for fear of missing one. (Thewhole show deserves its own Pinterest page).

And if that's not enough, guitar and bass playersBrendan Burns and Tony Leva provide a rich and emotive live score. Kids Fringe doesn't get much better than this.
