Two men are in hospital following separate stabbing incidents in Winnipeg Monday night.

Two men are in hospital following separate stabbing incidents in Winnipeg Monday night.

An employee of the Vendome Hotel on Fort Street was stabbed multiple times in a dispute with a man at the business around 6:30 p.m. The victim suffered a collapsed lung but is listed in stable condition. A suspect is in police custody.

The second incident happened at about 11 p.m. on Bondar Bay in The Maples neighbourhood. Police said a dispute started over a vehicle and escalated into an attack that sent one man to Seven Oaks hospital.

But the incident didn't stop there. A number of people went along as the victim was driven to the hospital and the argument continued on the way.

Police were called to the hospital to manage the dispute and the victim was transferred to the Health Sciences Centre where he underwent surgery.

Police said they are interviewing a number of people connected to the case. Charges have not yet been laid.
