Authorities are making another appeal to the public for help in searching for children and teens who have gone missing in Manitoba.

Officials re-released information on four cases on Wednesday, which is national Missing Children's Day.

Sunshine Wood has been missing for more than a year; she would now be 18. Wood came to Winnipeg from Gods River First Nation to attend high school.

Police say Wood was last seen just before midnight on Feb. 20, 2004 in front of the St. Regis Hotel on Smith Street.

Wood is aboriginal, five feet seven inches tall, 220 pounds with shoulder-length brown hair and brown eyes. She has letters tattooed on the fingers of her left hand.

Dwayne Ross, 18, was last seen in downtown Thompson on Oct. 1, 2003. Described as quiet and shy, Ross had moved to Thompson from Gods Lake Narrows to attend school.

Kelvin Zdarski was 19 when he disappeared on June 17, 1997, while on a fishing trip in Waterhen, Man. The Dauphin teen left his friend and his friend's father to go for a walk, but never returned.

Marcus McKay, 8, disappeared on July 15, 2000 while on a hunting trip with an adult near Mallard, Man. He was supposed to be waiting with the deer he and his companion had killed. He was wearing only a T-shirt, jeans and runners when he disappeared.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crimestoppers, the Winnipeg Police Missing Persons Unit or Child Find Manitoba.

Officials with Child Find Manitoba say 2,700 children from Manitoba were reported missing in 2004. The majority were safely recovered.
