Winnipeg police find vehicle believed to be connected to abduction, death of Ontario man

A vehicle believed to be connected to the abduction and death of a 22-year-old Ontario man in Winnipeg has been found, police say.

Police have found avehicle believed to be connected in the abduction and death of a 22-year-old Ontario man in Winnipeg.

Officers asked for the public's help to find a black 2018 Honda Civic Touring in connection with the investigation into the death of Zeyad Shammo, police previously said.

The vehicle has since been located, police said in a news release Friday.

The 22-year-old Ontario man was abducted in Winnipeg the day before he was reported missing on Sept. 1, police have said.

Shammo's death is being investigated as a homicide, and police said two people who knew him were charged earlier this week.

Sonny Balemba and Robert James Chaykowski, both 26-year-olds from Winnipeg, have been charged with first-degree murder, kidnapping and extortion.
