Two pedestrians are in hospital one in critical condition after being hit by a car near Grace Hospital, Winnipeg police say.

Intersection has been reopened after closure for police investigation

Two pedestrians are in hospital one in critical condition after being hit by a car near Grace Hospital, Winnipeg Police say.

Const. Rob Carver told CBC News police were called to the scene around 6 a.m.

He said both victims were taken to hospital in critical condition, but one person's condition has since beenupgraded to stable.

The driver stayed atthe scene and wasn't injured, Carver said.

Carver saidPortage Avenue atSturgeon Road wasclosed to traffic as police were investigating.

Police tweeted an update that the intersectionreopened early Sunday afternoon.
