Woman dies after being hit by car on Henderson Highway

A woman who was hit by a car Tuesday morning in Winnipeg's North Kildonan area has died.

The woman, whose age was not provided by police, was rushed to hospital incritical condition after the crash around 7:30 a.m. at Henderson Highway and Slater Avenue.

Police issued an update just before noon to say the woman died from her injuries.

The southbound lanes of Henderson remain blocked in the area astraffic collision investigators continue their work.

Police expect it to remain that way for several more hours.

Traffic is being rerouted around the area.
