Man wanted in missing person case located

A Winnipeg man police wanted totalk to in connection to the disappearance of his former girlfriend has been located.

Police said Wednesday that Anthony Joseph Martin was located by officers, but didn't say where.

Just a day earlier, investigators said they were interested in speaking to Martin in connection to the disappearance of Mildred Flett, 51, also known as Mildred Nelson.

Flett has not been heard from since June and her family is concerned for her well-being.

Martin was also wanted on an unrelated arrest warrant, but police have not said for what offence.

In February, Flett obtained an order of protection against Martin from the Court of Queen's Bench.

In her application, she alleged he had behaved violently towards her and she was afraid for her safety.

Flett is described as five-feet, 10 inches tall and weighs 140 pounds. She has medium-length wavy black hair and brown eyes.

Police said they have received information suggesting Flett may have cut her hair short.
